crossover set up

I'm running Boston components with their own passive crossovers in my front doors that are powered by an Alpine V12 that has its own internal adjustable crossovers. I'd like some advice on how to properly set these up, I'm a bit confused about it because of the double crossovers, one in the amp and another inline with the speakers. Do I set the amp at the lowest crossover point for the speaker crossover rating and then tune by ear?

Thanks, Sam

My headunit doesn't have hpf, my amp does. One question, probably a stupid one, why put the amp in hpf and not full range? Will I lose any mid-range response by doing this?

Thanks, Sam

do you have subs?

If you dont then you can leave the crossover on full to get some bass. But when you turn up the power you'll hear them distort/bottom out and you'll have to use the HPF if you need the high volume
