crossover question

if an amp has a lp crossover at say 50-500hz that means theres no way i could get it to play in the 50-2khz range even if i added a hp filter aka capcitor?!?!

just set the xover to full or defeat. what amp and speaker are you trying to run?

either a profile ap1040 or a power acsoutik 740...4 channels..and dayton rs 7'' and lpg tweets

do you got some sort of 3-way xover? you could probably hp the mids at 70-80 hz. and hp the tweets at 2-3 khz all though i heard the daytons struggle at the upper frequencies, so you may want to have some sort of passive xover, to lp them at 2khz

no i dont have a xover but i was just gunna use a little hp filter..good idea for the mids tho i didnt even think about that!

profile is a solid budget amp.
