crossover needed or not?

i need some opinions guys would you recommend buying a crossover for a system using component speakers and a couple 15's? i know im going with a audio control epicenter but just not sure if i should an a crossover or not something that will be needed?

i was looking at this electronic xover http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1254

which to me looks like a 2 in 1 it has the crossover part and it has the wired bass boost control where i raise or lower the bass from the drivers seat..any opinions?
