Crossover for stock spkers

Just lately, I have really noticed how bad the music sounds with the sub crosed over at about 60hz but the stock speakers playing all the way down to like 20hz. And yes the stock speakers are playing that low because I can hear them moving when I have the sub off. But with both playing the lows, the music sounds completely mushy.

Is there a crossover to use with the stock speakers? Is it as simple as buying a crossover that would be used with a component set?

F.Y.I.---I have a stock external amp, but there are no settings that can be adjusted on that. I'm asking cuz im not sure how it would work with using harnesses instead of an actual aftermarket amp.

Depending on the wattage of the stock amp, you might be able to get away with some cheap bass blockers.

I think the amp puts out like 25-30 watts each for the front 6.5" speakers.
