Blew a speaker, got a question

Well I have infinity(comp) 5 1/4's in the door and the right one is slightly blown. Not sure why as ive had them for a year. Is it safe to disconnect it from the amp and just use 3 channels for now?

Also, what speakers should I look at to replace? Nothing too crazy and expensive, something rather cheap but really good performance.. I have 3 tweeters already

didn't you have a thread askin' what speaker to get a LONG time ago and we told you not to get the Infinity's?

For that budget, look into the following 5.25" sets:

Alpine Type X SPX-137R

Polk Momo MMC5250

If you can get them in there, def step up to the 6.5" size.
