Crimping together a wiring harness and wiring harness adapter questions?

Its fine. If you have to cut them cut as close to the connector as you can. Also try to crimp them the opposite way that you did to begin with. You may be able to get the wire out without cutting.

Hmm this is very weird. Here is the adapter i have: Scosche CR02B - Wiring Harnesses - Sonic Electronix

Looks like its perfectly compatable with my vehicle. Looking at the reviews it seems to have worked fine for a few users. Maybe im supposed to just use one of the yellow and black wires and leave the others unattended?

I suppose it could still work. There may be extra wires for other vehicles. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it. Just figure out what goes where. (I would just get the right one though, I'm not a huge fan of scoshe)

I guess its worth a try though. I'm not a fan of scoshe either, but like i said it came free with the stereo i bought. I'll test it out before i replace it.
