Crimping 0 gauge wire....

So I tried to hammer a ring terminal onto the wire that I just received...and I failed, to say the least. Haha. What's the best way to get these crimped? I'd prefer to spend $0, since I'm broke. Can I just go to Home Depot and have someone crimp it, or is there a combination of common household tools I could use to accomplish this task?

Any help is great!

i just crimped like 5 1/0 ring terminals using a 2lb. square head mallet

I use some 1/0 crimpers. I borrow them from one of my buddys that works at the telephone coop.

Most hardware store have some that will work that you can rent if you don't want to fork over the dough to buy some.

Bench vice is easy and makes nice crimps.

im guessing these are the terminals i gave ya that you need help with...THANK GOD mine were already crimped as i bought the 1/0 Big 3 kit.....my dad has one of those crimpers neways....

Haha, once again, I am surprised at the astounding amount of replies that I got. Thanks guys! I think I might try a vice first, since I've got one of those...I'll just have to dig it out of a moving box in our garage.

Nail-set and a hammer.

I use plyers and squeeze them as hard as i can and then hammer the end of the pliers while they are attached to the ring and wire. And then i use a nail set after that. works good and a tight connection.

Yeah...I will admit, I didn't search this time around, but I usually do.
