Amp's red lights come on

amps turn on but the red protect light comes on plus theres major whine n hiss n popping. this just started randomly, turned the car on goin somewhere and just started. i think its something with my 4 channel amp. if i dont have any rcas hooked up it powers on fine, no red light. if i plug in the first set of rcas to it everything fine. but if i have rcas on the 3/4 channel input it freaks out, red light, loud noises etc etc. i have a pioneer deck wit a blown pica fuse and i do have the rcas grounded out to the back of the deck. the amp in question is a us amps xterminator 800.4. any suggestions or ideas or this amp fried or what???

loose speaker wire. wire came off speaker and was grounding out on metal, caused all my amps to go into protect. fixed it now all good. thanks for no input.
