Seller thinks I'm trying to rip him off. I think I will just keep it as it with the 10". $160+$30+$30=$220 ($30 customs fees added both times) for a used 10" and a cracked 12", it's not that bad, but I would have still prefered a brand new one...
You guys don't think this crack will grow in the future and then affect the subwoofer's performances?

Like others have said, that piece is purely cosmetic, so regardless of whether or not the crack grows, it won't affect performance.

I have an original Alpine 10" ported enclosure ($400 value before they stopped selling them).

I will try to get $200 (sub+enclosure).

It wont affect the subs performance at all. And yes the Type r's are the real deal, if you know what you are doing they get insanely loud. If you've been here long enough then you remember the MAJOR type R boner that rocked the forum. They did a good job on the suspension. I cut mine out and was actually impressed there. With that said, they have a 2" coil, no holes drilled in the pole piece for cooling, and nothing special there. They never sound very accurate. Any speaker can get loud. The type r isn't really very impressive other than its dual spiders spaced about a half inch apart.
