Well i recieved a battery in the mail and appeared to have been damaged. Well its been sitting for a week now and still holding a charge. Say i sealed it up, would there be reprucussions? I have already have another on the way but 2 batts is better than one. here is a pic of said damage.

I would not use it. It will probably work fine for a while, but who knows how long, and it is just an bad accident waiting to happen.

Had the same thing happen to me when I bought a batt from a member on here. It still held a charge and worked fine so I sealed it up with some Automotive Goop. Fast forward a year or two and I discovered it had been leaking acid out (at a fairly slow rate but still not good). I resealed it and flipped it over so the crack was facing up and it seems ok but I can tell it's usable life/quality is greatly diminished. If I were you, I would just go through the hassle of filing a claim NOW because a year from now when you discover it's dead you'll be SOL.

new battery is on the way already, company sent new one and they are filing claim with ups. Ups will be coming by this week to check the package. more than likley its gonna be on the company pretty much wrapping it in plastic and paper and sending it.
