could someone help me with hertz in a box for tuning

well im not sure which hertz i should be using for my box whats the big diffference i know theres tone levels but i dont understand them whats the normal wats the competition and how do u know after you build a box that your box is tuned for that hertz

typically, anything over 40hz is for comp and generally anything b/w 28-36 for daily. the lower the tuning frequency, its generally said to be geared more toward SQ than SPL.

well im doing a sq system with all zapco products but i want a loud system to so i mean i will hit low notes for songs ex. pimp juice or throw it up. So will it matter if im doing it in the lower hertz cause i plan to go to db drag for sq competions and other shows as well but i want to be loud heres my setup im working on i just wanna be able to hit the low notes also

But as far as tuning, if you tuned at 30hz, maybe even 32hz, I think you'd be plenty happy. It'd be a nice blend of SQ and SPL but lend itself more towards SQ.

well i havent bought it all yet im working on it buy about one thing a month if i sell my mustang ill have it finished by jan. if i dont sell my mustang ill have it finished by march just in time for spring break is what im hoping but thx for the info im getting the hook up form one of my friends est. on money spedning is total of 6k

should be **** worth it though. I hear once you buy those zapco c2k amps, you'll never need to upgrade.

yea i know what you mean i was doing spl 2 years a go and i bought a used zapco 4kw it was awsome i never got to use its full power but the clarity was great my system im getting now is all new im getting about deale rcost for everything my friend is hooking me up yea as long as my stang sells next week like its supose to then things will be smooth sailing im doing my current system setup in a 2003 toyota echo the egg car ill post pics up when i get it done one day....
