I need some help on a Jeep Wrangler. It has a blown 6.5" sub in the stock enclosure, 5.25's in the dash, and 6.5's in the sound bar. I want to have the pioneer run the fronts and and add a "small as possible" amp to run the sound bar and new pyle sub. I've been told just get a amp for sub, but the pioneer cranked gets drowned out in the open air. So I thought 4 channel, 2 to the 6.5's and bridge the sub. Then I hear 4 channel amps are not made for subs?? And one more aspect, it's a 10 year old jeep, I'd like to keep cost down as well. Suggestions please.

I dont understand your question. If the only question is if a 4 channel is not good for a sub... then yes i wouldnt use a 4 channel for a sub. Get a monoblock for the sub and a 4 channel for your mids and highs.

4 channels are made to reproduce music. It's completely fine to bridge an amp's 2 channels to drive the sub.

Space is at a premium, so 2 amps is not a great option. I'm not looking for the sub to pound, just add the depth the 6.5's can't provide.

Sound quality does not suffer using a 4 channel. Plenty of people use 4 channel amps in a 3-way mode. Why not look at Alpine's mini amps? Could do the 445u and that would give 45x2 and 90x1.

As long as you can bandpass the sub somehow a bridged 4 channel is fine. They are full range amps. 20-20,000hz
