Confused about Ohm ratings

i just got rid of that amp. I didn't even think about it. It is a really good amp, i know from experience. Does rated power too.

Okay, so now I'm Really CONFUSED!!! I plan on buying the same subs 15'' Type R 4ohm load on monday. But I was told to buy the bxi 1608D amp by hifonics to run at an 1ohm load when i wire the subs. What yall are saying is totally different. Which one is correct? Cuz dats a big price difference!

Can one of the guru's please speak on this or give their input as well as others that know! The head guru personally on another forum is whom suggested this setup for me. And i trust(ed) his judgement, just that this thread is really throwing me off!

the bxi at 1ohm is 1600W by 1 but its in the idea of the split of the two subs at 800W a piece for 750W rms subs. Which sounds **** good to me.

(2) dual 4 ohm subs can be wired down to 1 ohm. If the amp does 1600 watts @ 1 ohm then each sub will see 800 watts. Does that answer your question??
