Confused about Ohm ratings

Hey there, I was about to buy a 15" dual voice coil 4ohm 750W rms alpine type r sub.

I was going to buy a mono amp which was a 750W rms @ 4ohms X 1channel. So i figured it was perfect, Untill i reserched on crutchfield and found this wiring diagram for DVC subs and mono amps.

heres the diagram.

It shows a 2ohm load from the amplifies to the sub wich shows 4ohms.

So does this mean I need a 750WRMS 2ohm or 4ohm amplifier??

get the 4 ohm version. Also, use a mono amp rated at 1000 RMS or higher at 1 or 2 ohms.

That r can handle 1000 watts daily, you will have to wire it down to 2 ohms on the amp if it is a 4 ohm woofer.

If you get a 2 ohm woofer, look for 1000 rms at 1 ohm, since you will have to reduce it to 1 ohm on the amp

Seriously, going over 1000 rms on the amp will benifit your sub output since the r's are power hungry little bastards

15 inch dual 4 can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms. Need single 4 ohms setup or dual two om wire in series for 4 ohms. Although I dont know of amy amps that like 4 ohms only

If the sub is a 4 ohm, you have to wire it to half of that subs ohm load, so you will need a amp that does the subs rated power at 2 ohms. Just, do what i said above and you will be in perfect shape.

How much are you looking to spend on an amp? I can find you one, that will match that R great

haha ok, well I would really like to buy it right away, like tomorrow haha. But that amp u showed me was out of stock, wouldn't this one be better anyway because its 750Wrma @ 2ohms?

i wouldn't go that direction either. Hifonics is a cheap as your going to get for a decent quality amp.

Anybody else have have a suggestion?
