Concrete sub walls?

I did have concrete in my SS 1-2 car, a 89 Plymouth Horizon.

It weighed 2400lbs Stock, and when I put it on truck scales after the install, it weighed just shy of 6000 lbs.

I still got just over 20 MPG.

I did go through about 4 axles and my motor mounts started to rip from the frame.

I rememer that ED...

Our Van tipped the scales at a little over 12000 lbs when it was all said and done.

Now its a little lighter as you saw Ed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It helped alot. 1.5 dB gain.

The main thing is that you have contours and odd spaces in the car that you cant effectively get the MDF sheets to fit that well in. The concrete pours to any shape and is much more dense than the MDF, so there is no chance for flex at all where the concrete is.

the amount of work for the tear exceeded the amount put in for the build.

but in the end it was worth it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the build is going to be pretty crazy...you of course will be kept in the loop too.
