Computer fan constantly running.......How to get it to stop?

Never killed anything by ESD yet I have worked on computers a ton, even in carpeted rooms.

I didn't kill my mobo, but something blew out some magic smoke at one point. Nothing was hooked up wrong, all the standoffs were in place. Judging by the magic smoke's source, I think it was the old school legacy game/MIDI controller. Neither of which are a use to me, but still. Last place my fingers were near was the front panel plugs to the right.

With you on it's usually the exception and not the rule. I just thought that telling a user to just open their case, with shitty OEM components and not taking a small precaution could end badly. Not an attack on any advice, just a thought.

Quick screenshot. I'm stable at 4.0Ghz at this voltage but I'm not liking the temps on this 130w CPU.

I'm only running a 9500GT video card because I cheaped out on my PSU for now.

What's your Cinebench score Chase?

Not Sure I have never used cinebench sorry.. I found some nice deals on more 260/216 cards for 120$$ :O :O I'm gonna Tri-Sli when I turn 18 in august...
