MY CPU will run 4.5 ghz all day long the way it is now and I've seen it hold 4.65 ghz for several minutes. I usually run malwarebytes and windows virus scan at the same time as my bench tester 😂

Well that didn't go well. Automatically reset itself. I had it a 1.3xx voltage, I think that may be why.

My CPU is already set to run 4.7 ghz max without me manually overclocking. Max voltage seems to be 1.45

Very small increments, and watch YouTube videos. Also, doesn't ryzen Master have a bench test built in?

Yeah, it does. If you do manual all you do is control the speed and voltage it looks like. But from factory, I guess the motherboard already has it overclocked to 4.7 ghz so I'm not even sure if I need to manually do it.

Yeah Ryzen should be able to bench test it so you can find out exactly what you can do with it on a manual but stable setup. If you have a built in OC feature usually those are going to be very stable. I have that built into mine and it jumps up to 4.2ghz but I've had it much higher then that but I leave it at the built in OC since it takes care of it for me. Less stuff I have to mess with tbh.

Well it's factory set at 4.7 ghz which is the max OC. It'll get very close to 4.7, I've seen 4.65 held several times. Some people say they don't get but 4.4-4.5 with this CPU, but they must not be running a good cooler and paste or something. I'll hit 75C but usually it holds there, when I'm running 4.65 ghz. It did get to 80C a few times but that's before I manually set the AIO curve to kick in earlier. And it cools down super fast. I'll drop from 75C back to below 40 in a few seconds, quite literally.

It's all about the silicone lottery man. Even more so with ryzen as it uses dual chiplets. They also bin the better chiplets for the 3900x and above, so you got extremely lucky. Many people actually pull a higher OC by disabling one of the chips.

I don't understand what you're saying here.

Maybe it has to do the the x570 chipset? Or my crosshair 8 hero motherboard? I am running 3600 mhz of memory too, I've seen several people say ryzen relies on fast memory to get full OC potential.

Downloading my first game. We'll see how this GPU does. I think the most utilization that I've done for this GPU is like 5%, so I have to at least see what it can do. I'll tell how hard it's working by how hard the fans rev.
