That's not true. Just like with subs; speakers mechanical power handling is install dependent (IB in doors? Xover point? etc). I'm only running 50w to my "80w RMS" speakers, and I can get the coil to leave the gap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifIf your amp is rated lower you'll never get the full potential of the speakers.
Not with a properly set gain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifAnd if you crank up the volume you could clip the amp and kill your speakers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
