Complete System Install in 2008 Honda Pilot

And supergumby thanks for the helpful response...almost everything else on this thread has been useless. Whereas you suggested a few alternatives, everyone else only said I'm getting ***** and paying too much. So much for a helpful online forum...

lol..don't pay too much attention to some of these guys. However..just look at online shops and ebay and buy the gear yourself and save a ton of money. Then have a shop install it if you don't want to do it yourself.

just remember with ebay you get almost no warranty from shaddy stores, which most are

if you get say a d3 for $500ish and it messes up 4 months later your SOL.

if you were to get that D3 at best buy for 699 and it messed up you can send it to pioneer and get it fixed free.

now i do buy stuff online but i dont feel comfortable spending more than 300ish on online stuff with no warranty

if its about 300 and i can get it locally for 400 im gonna pay the extra 100 bucks but thats just me, everyone is differant.

The stuff ive bought on ebay has not messed up. The only thing that has was a Pioneer 960 but they all mess up

also, dont know if its been suggested but dont be afraid to buy used from the classifieds.

car audio is an addiction, not a hobby. most of us dont keep things long. we use them, get used to them and upgrade, therefore alot of the "used" stuff is actually practically new and sold for very good prices.

if you do shop around, you will find cheaper prices then you can probably take your new cheaper bought products to get installed if you really want it to be. you would probably STILL save money over $2500 too.

****, i cant believe that what you said is 2500 in stores, you could get such a set up for 2500 you would crap yourself online lol IMO

here is mine

all together I spent 400 hu, 158 both amps, 200 for the subs, 50 for the box (jdbuilder), 5 for distro (won a badly listed ebay item and picked up local), and lastly 100 for wiring, techflex, and other sh*t. Total 913 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i payed 1500 for all the stuf you see in my signature and i bet i would pown your setup but the audio shop you went is having a payday should have done some basic research before you let some storefront salespunk make up your mind for you, but you'll learn, the hard way i guess...
If you paid $1500 for what you have in your sig, you got ripped off more than the OP...

I didn't even pay that much for whats in my sig.

Leeped4: My suggestion is to buy all the equipment yourself, from an online source, and find a local shop that will do the install for you. This will save you the retail cost of the equipment, which is where most of the cost is.

Bjayjr5679: Where did you get the wire sleeving? Looks great.
