:DEveryone who is here needs to be thankful for this great and very informative forum. I've been out of the scene for a decade, but have had the itch the whole time for some sound.

After reading alot and doing some brand loyalty. This is my setup it took 2 days to install w/ dynamatted doors and trunk, MDF rings, and eggcrate foam in behind the door woofers sealed with artist puddy non-hardening, 0/1 gauge wiring, Knuconcept RCA's etc

Pioneer 800prs

Boston Pro60's F/R.....I like rear fill. I like to feel the sound everywhere.

1 JL W6V2 in a 1.25cf sealed box w/polyfill.

RF 25 to Life amp pushing the whole system.

The highs and mid bass sound very good. I can turn the sub off and it still sounds pretty darn good .......all of the deadening and sealing made a noticable difference. The problem is I can easily outpower that sub. Listening to CD's, Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, Zeppelin, the highs, midbass are perfect for me. Snare drums rock, symbals scream, guitars humm, the bass sounds good up to a point then it starts to get muffled and sounds overdriven.

The amp birthsheet says 643@2ohms which is how it is wired to the sub. Is there any drop in sub that could be better and put out more than the W6 in a 1.25cf sealed enclosure or is the only option adding more weight and woofers?

Thanks, for the advice, the knowledge etc. I'm very happy just need a little more bass at high volumes.

I would think a good number of 12" subs designed or sealed would just drop in. Sealed boxes are not nearly as picky in size as ported or other higher order boxes. Unfortunately, ported boxes are more efficient. Have you tried pointing the sub in diferent directions in the trunk ?

Maybe your a basshead by heart and 1 12 isn't enough, lol! Honestly, I just think you need to expierment with box placement like PaulD said and see if that helps any. Or..........like I said, your just expecting to much out of the sub and need more, I don't know you, so just assuming there.

Sounds like everything else is on par, which is good. Some times it just takes messing around with settings and what not, but if you don't know what you are doing, let us help you or if you know someone, then let them help you. Don't want you blowing your system to kingdom come, if you know what I mean. Just I have recently messed around with my tunning more and found a better hertz level for my sub and it sounds completely different. Sounds like a new system almost, lol! All that was, was messing around with my deck, wich is a PRS 880 and has a ton of EQ'ing capabilities, which I believe yours does as well.

Good luck!
