college questions

I'm gonna be the rebel and say move, and live OFF campus.

Maybe its because i hate most people, but i wouldn't even consider living on campus.

You have to be able to find an apartment for about the same amount that it cost to live in the dorms, and then you wont have any pseudo-parents telling you what you can and cant do.

off campus living is almost 2x the price of oncampus //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

not to mention when you live on campus you have access to the entire campus by a 5 minute walk ... and RA's arnt to bad unless your a total jackass ... i smoke in my dorm all the time no one bothers me , we have partys all the time and as long as we dont be beligerant assholes no one cares...

frat houses > dorms > off campus apartments

Its fun to be a belligerent ******* sometimes.

off campus > frat > dorms

Just cuz you don't live on campus doesn't mean you don't have access to the college life.

It just means you have a retreat away from it if you choose.

Whatever you do go away form school, don't stay at home around your friends you have had all your life. Go away the farther the better, you will love it I promise. My friends have always been jealous of my college career because I went away.

I went to an associate school in my home town after high school with some of my friends. I didn't get the real college experience. we stayed closely knit and pretty much had the same routine as we did in high school, hang out at the same spots do the same things and didn't get involved in the college life.

All of them either dropped out or took a job right after. I went on to get my bachelor and they wish they did too. Best time of my life hands down. Now I want to go even further away when I get my MBA or MS

even if you don't go to college, everyone should move away from there home town, at least for a few years.

I cant imagine living in the same place for my entire life.

well by may i will have completed my associates degree. i'll have a total of 85 credits, and my college has a partnership with a few universities where i go 3 years at the community and 1 year at a university and get my bachelors. now with these different colleges idk if i wanna go online, live at the dorm, or make a long commute. my school options are franklin university, wich is online and lots of students went there from my school, northwood wich is about 80 miles away, lake superior state wich is way up north, university of michigan-flint wich obviously is in flint, atleast 2 hours away, but much closer to detroit then i am now, wich would be nice for me, and they also offer online. i guess i wanna know the advantages of online, dorm, and commuting, and anybody know a good research website where i can i find out more about these schools?
Didnt read any of the thread but heres my 2 cents. Live in a dorm just so you can say you have. I didnt want to my first year but it was nice being able to wake up later for classes, being near on-campus activites and meeting a shit-ton of people. Online classes **** *** IMO. I feel more motivated to go to a classroom and listen to some teacher blab then sit on a comp and dick around instead of doing work. Same goes for online homework. Most of the time, your answers need to be in such a strict format that even though the way you write it on paper or translate it on screen may be right, the site will kick it out as wrong. And simply, dont commute if you dont have to. Its wasted money in gas, living expenses off campus and not to mention, you'll need to wake up earlier.

yea dude, living in the dorms is an experience you have to go through ... atleast do it for a year and if you dont like it then just get a roomy in apartment housing (every college has "apartment housing" , still considered on campus but lack security + no ra's)

i technically already lived in a dorm when i was in florida last year so yea i basically experienced it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

well then whats the deal? if you like it then go back to dorms, if you dont or are antisocial or something then stay off campus
i wanted to get more opinions then "the experience" like more benifits then "the experience" if the experience is having *** and being retarded then i've been there and done that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
