Coil Config on a 10 Type R

For some reason when im checking the ohm its showing 5.5 to 6.1 ohms on a 10 inch alpine type r..... WHY? i dont think they make em in 6ohms do they?

Coil is jacked or your DMM is screwed up.

Check all your other coils.

I'd check all the other coils first.

If all the rest of them read 2 ohms or 4 ohms (whichever type you have), then you know that one coil is messed up.

for one sub i got one side at 4.5

then i went to the other side startin jumpin from like 9.0 to 11.8 ohms.. i was like wtf..

move the leads around then got 4,9 stable ?

Your shit is all over the place. Where are you putting the DMM leads?

at first i put them in the holes where the wiring goes... then also tried carefully where the tinsel comes to the termainals

Clamp them down in the speaker terminals as if you were wiring them up with speaker wire. That way the leads can't move around and shit.
