Clarion eq questions

Do they cause any distortion? Also another question is when I run the RCA from the deck into the main in which input on the deck does it go into and will this affect performance on my mids and highs or bass?

Depending on the HU, you'll want to use either the non-fade out or the front out. Like anything in the signal chain, if you boost to much it will cause distortion. Use the EQ as it's intended (cut first, boost last) you'll be ok. The THD on most Clarion EQs are better the .01%.
