Amp- Alpine 4.100 (possibly upgrading to 125 watts/channel soon) but this amp pushes 100 watts x4
I was running the 6x5 apline spr-17s and spr-17c and I do say that amp could quite easily overpower the speakers rated at 110 watt RMS. But after hearing my buddys 6x5's I realized I wasn't getting ANYWHERE NEAR as much midbass as I want.
SO I am looking to upgrade to a 125-175 watts RMS 6x5 component with what? great SQ and loud, solid midbass. Any suggestions? Id like to keep the price at ~160 but I might go a little higher.
Also I need some help finding the right speakers for the back. I already made the cut and those 6x5's are GONE! Its now ready for some new 6x9's. I saw these ALPINE SPR-69C and they would probably work alright.. but doesn't anybody know by experience what would really rock?
I listen to all types of music but mainly rock metal and rap.
