Hey my friend is doing a system in his car and asked me to ask the audio experts how they think about it. He can not do a component speaker set up front, a couple different reasons.

He is looking not to be very loud, but to have a lot of sound quality. He said that this system set him right around 1000 shipped, and he can not spend more than that if anyone else has other suggestions. But it all has to be brand new.

he tells me its because he would only do it if the tweeters were able to go in the a-pillar, not the dash, and no one makes an a pillar tweeter kit for his car (1987 mustang lx)

pretty solid start, OCD people, would have matching amps, and I agree probably cheaper to get a good comp set

He needs comps at least.

And I temporarily Have my CTX's tweeters in factory dash until I get my horns in.

It's not as bad as he may think if he puts a hard xfire on them to the other listener.

buy a hole saw and put the tweeters in the hole in the door? Its not that hard at all..

The BEST place might be the kick with a hard crossfire to opposite listener.

He will be okay with dash and crossfire.

Apillar and crossfire

Mounted in the door near the woofer. (on axis or off?) I havn't done that yet.
