Maybe he didn't have the skills, time, or inclination to learn how? DIY isn't for everyone...and we'd better be glad it isn't.

This is one facet of the industry many don't understand. I hear it all the time here. DIY man DIY! If everyone did it themselves, what the **** would all these installers do for a living? lol.I like learning many things, but admittedly I don't have the motivation to learn everything and will gladly pay someone with the know- how to do it right for me. I learnd how to glass an enclosure and wish I hadn't. Next time I will pay a shop to deal with that tedious BS.

I'm not suprised that's how much it cost him.

If you think otherwise, then your knowledge of the daily workings of a car audio shop need some brushing up; labour on something like that is going to be retardedly expensive, especially if the market supports it.

with 10g's ... i could .. invest into a CD and have some extra money .. and get something better .. even if it isnt in a custom enclosure ..

Car will never sell at 10K....he has a reserve on it....reserve not met...he won;t sell it for less than 20g's
