i also have a phoenix digital fm modulater if that helps any..

DVD video out looks like a 1/8" plug.

The monitor uses a standard RCA input (the yellow one).

You will need a cable the goes from 1/8" (not a stereo plug, mono with just one line on it) to a single RCA and you should be set.

so run one from the dc 12 volt out to the yellow rca on the indash.. i want video and sound.. anyway you can hook a amp to this thing?

No. (NO!)

Ignore that 12v out jack on the back of your DVD player because your monitor has the wiring on it to wire up seperately to 12v without using that jack.

For the video out to monitor in follow my direction above for the seperate video out hookup.

For the audio, on the back of your DVD player it has a black 1/8" stereo jack (marked L/R) for audio out.

The DVD audio output simply requires a cable with a stereo 1/8" plug on one end (DVD player black audio out) to male RCA plugs on the other end that should plug into an amp's RCA jacks.

You might need a pre-amp (a good indash EQ thats rated for 4v or more would be a cheap way to go) to give an amp enough drive though (Im not familiar with that brand of DVD player), but it shouldnt hurt to try it straight into an amp first if you dont want to spend the money.
