My oa 12s took 1200ish each no sweat. I think my fosgate was rated for 1265 @4 on the birthsheet, which I used as my baseline for torcher testing.. I wouldn't hesitate to put 1200-1500 clean on the 18s they are built to take a little more punishment. I think the v3s come out soon as well.

Don't think they would like 4 cubes buy gowdy the idea of a custom also sounds good but price will need to be considered. Are you inverting the Subs? Not many 18 will be really happy in 4 cubes each I still think 15s would be best

I saw nothing about 4 cubes each my bad ...

my maf 18" use a sa motor and are $240 per 18", 1200rms ,8" nomex spider,8 layer flat wound alum coil,dual leads

what do you recommend for enclosure size on those?

Actually it doesn't look like DD offers the 500 and 1500 series in 18s that's weird

What about 4.25 cubes per 18 with going alittle bit over rated power lol. i mean via the OA site they call for 4.5 - 6 cubes. What if i over powered them a bit lol

Sometimes motor force and cone area mean more than power and cone area jist saying

understood..... thats kind what im trying to do. in this case cone area will be cheaper the amp power, due to the OA 18 specs

seeing you do designs, how do you think these would work in say 4.3 cubes per sub on probly 1200 or so rms per sub?

I've heard the oa 18's in like 3.8 cubes. Lacking low end, still played pretty good.

ok, but see for my daily listening the lowest i listen to is like 35hz or 36hz, IF that. i like mine to be strong down to like 38hz,so as long as its pretty strong around 40hz im happy. i know thats weird compared to most people but i guess thats just my taste in music.

I was trying to get it as close to 4.5 cubes as possible. Would a 10" aero work with these subs?

Yes. You could even do a 8" here, or 2 6's.

Im just curious, is it the AQ softparts that make want so much or what?

Also what would be ideal/best for the 2 OA 18s port wise, 1 8" - 2 6s or 1 10"? its a daily build, but i will hit the occasional comp and the comps are on music average.
