Got out and started to make a box to put caps in. I made it big enough for two banks for now and see how it works and if more are needed I will build something bigger.

Im running my system on a 80 amp alt and the only time i have bad voltage (12s) is at stop lights on hot days. Basically i get Ac or bass. Ive thinking of getting some caps as buffers. Can you give me some info on the viability of this?

looks good man! im interested to see what kind of difference you notice. you do have a big *** amp so i cant expect it to be as good as what im seeing but if you get a little improvement it'll show you whats to come with 2 or 3 banks. dont expect miracles, expect an improvement and i bet you'll be happy

you need a bigger alternator, caps wont help that much imo unless you see big drops on kick drum type of music. i mean yes it'll help but its not what you need

Ya I just need a little boost and I bet these will do it , I am staying in the 12 volt range now and I would really like to stay in the 13 volt range . Also I am still in my eBay alts too and when I ordered them I forgot to have regulators changed out for 14.8 instead of the 14.2 that these charge at . I took singers apart and think that's all that's wrong with them and will order some new transpo 14.8 regulators and fix them myself . Then I think I will be looking good .

I agree you need an 270 alt and your probably all good I bet with no caps . Caps just even out your voltage in between the the big bass hits or draws if you will but you still gotta have voltage to begin with . How big are your amps ?

Also want to see what even this one bank will do . I want to hook it up if I get time this week but I got a busy week and fri I gotta have surgery on my knee so I will be down a few days but off work so I will get it hooked up ! Also need another bank if you see some for sale? Like to get for around 200 like I got these. I tried to score the power supply on eBay , offered him 4500 for it and it had 144 boostcap 3000 in it brand new but he is holding firm at 6000 and at that price there is no money to be made .

Couldn't wait to try the ultacaps lol after I washed the truckster I was playin with the stereo and said why not do it now ? I made a couple of cables and charged them up on the bench and dropped them in and went for a drive and I gotta say ( and it may be placebo effect ) sounds louder and voltage improvement I was seeing low 12s and occasionally high 11s and I didn't drive far but didnt see lower than 12.5 banging hard and I bet that wouldn't happen with the singers back in there . Pretty impressed but two banks will be better too lol ! Always more is better!

Ya it really seemed tighter and harder and thats with only one bank and weaker alts too! Cant wait to get another set in there and get my singer alts repaired and back in too ! What lithium you running and what size ? I want to get one next !
