Oh ya that would work , I thought you meant flush mount. Or just so fiberglass A Pilars not near as hard as you think they are , just go to wrecking yard and get spares to use so you can always have your stocks to swap back. I can help you if you need me to.

lol it was just a thought. Not sure if I'm gonna go that route or not....although I do need to go to the junkyard next week. Got another window control/armrest but didn't realize that big tab on the end was already broken off. Then I can install my other tweeter and be done with it.

I got a buddy that buys our body style trucks , Tahoe and suburbans and parts them out so I got like 4 pairs of a Pilars so I can make more when I get a better design idea

Nice. Ya the junkyard is prob a few miles from me.....pretty close to it. just like s10,s they got interchangeable parts on diff years/makes/models: Suburbans, Tahoes, Silverado's (I think), whatever your truck is, etc.

I got my backup alts from B&R alts and there supposedly 250 amps I will be glad with 125 each for now till I get my singers repaired.Got them installed and seem to be working fine, voltage is sitting around 14.4 and usually its around 14.5 or 14.6 but its really hot out too so thats probably why its down a hair. Cleaned up the wiring under the hood to for now, Its going to get a revamp soon too.

Well so far so good on the cheaper alts and they are hanging in there voltage wise and so is the Taramps HD15k wired at .5 and I banged on it for a couple hours today. I did notice heat a lot more than before, At 2 ohms there was almost no heat from the amp and now it warms pretty good wired down. Sounds louder need to meter it to see.

Ya I get them by the bag full on ebay because they seem to break everytime I pull doors apart. Also if you have a napa auto parts they have them too if your in a hurry just cost more.

Update , A/c quit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif time for new compressor and condenser and all that crap so there goes the money I wanted to spend on ultra caps for a while ! Could have got 4 more banks or close to it for a/c repair bill but gotta have ac in my truck !

Ouch...and your in CA a/c is a must. I was trying to get mine fixed but mechanic says I need a new compressor too in my s10.

Not much to report. I did make some small grills to go over my alarm microphones that I mounted in my A pillars. Make them look a little better.

You think a group 78 will fit in the Tahoe battery tray? So I'm thinking of nabbing a few group 78's if they'll fit and increase my voltage. Who knows when yet but I'm still looking. I have a group 75 right now...
