Changing location of ground. Quick Question.

That's all I use is bolts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and as far as using the seatbelt bolt it depends on the vehicle but I try to stay away from using that as a ground myself.
Never had an issue..most/all seatbelts are attatched to the structure of the vehicle frame/subframe for life safety,to meet government vehicle life safety standards ,so its prob one of the best grounding locations within the vehicle im sure:santa:

Some read a high ohm load when I measure them some don't I can't explain it ?
It could be the subframe/unibody frame/and solid frame??Could be bad batteries in the dmm??Also??Guy at work Believes in using his DMM for everything, even for power plug..He pulled it out,to check for power one day to hook up our cutting machine, and said it wasnt hot,,I was looking at the light switch was on light in room was on...got be on same breaker??You think??Na its not hot my dmm is good to go..I went to the co truck got a corded drill, and ran it staring at him..lol..he didnt like that much..lol..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif He had recently changed the batteries out too

try undoing the zip tie and tape off of the power and rca's and keep them apart from eachother. could possibly be a negative feedback. worth a try before going in depth and more work.
Yeah i have done this, still no luck

Wow my fluke has always been dead on I haven't ever heard of anything like that before I bet he did feel stupid.
Lol, ya that guys a real jerk on top of that..He didnt say much after that..I mean come on man light on in the room, only socket in the room??And no power when the lights on??Come on man????Dependent upon an electrical device isnt always dead on at times..they fail just like anything else, doesnt matter how expensive /brand/or how cheap it is..its just electronics man

i always run the power down the driver side and zip tie the rca's and remote together down the passenger side to keep them far apart from each other. never have an issue on any of my builds doing that
I thought remote and rca's had to stay away from eachother?

You see that seatbelt bolt????Unscrew that joker, and sand the paint around that joker, and git a washer place it under that, put your ground wir/wires with ring terminals.another washer, then put the seatbelt/bolt the seatbelt back down..Be the best solid ground you got back there:spank:
So the ring terminals go UNDER the black metal plate thing? sand down paint on bodywork-washer-ring terminals-washer-plate on top and screw down?

Cheers

Yeah but several if not all the outlets in my house as well as work are independent of the light switch I can see him thinking that.

That will work man..in a car, i use the spare tire hold down..that works great too

ya houses are alot different, built /thrown up than from commercial buildings when you have to meet certain guidlines , and follow national electrical codes..72

Let us know if that made any difference...works out..should be one he ll of a solid grounding poit
