Carnival Cruise Questions

Has anyone been on a cruise this year through carnival? Particularly out of Cape Canaveral. We are going the 2nd of August and we ar wonderig if we can somehow get some liquor on board... We figured water bottles of vodka, or bottles of coke and rum....

Before you say "your under age, you shouldnt drink anyways" or "just buy the shit on board" ....simply put...no. Liquor is far too expensive on ship, and the age thing is mute, everyone has had a little to drink before. So don't try that. Does homeland security really open bags, check seals on sodas and crap? Or is it a "run it through" type deal and look for suspicious objects? Whats the worst that could happen if someone over 21 were to have it found? Just take it away and be about our business?

I wouldnt try it. I went out of Cape Canaveral on Carnival in December and they were extremely strict about that. Everything gets checked. And if you buy any liquor at any of the stops they hold it until the last day when you get off.

im going on a cruise (3-day- only from Los Angeles to Mexico). Will be my 1st time. . . . .will be on international water so i've been told by AAA and boat will stop in mexico..... i've heard the same thing of expensive liquor..... but i'll pay for it.

Docutech....what? The cruise is all inclusive.... All you can eat, and drink so long as t's not soda. Juice and all that is free. Water, whatever. We are going to a party town.....I don't know what els to call Nassau....

I went a few months ago on the 4-day from royal Caribbean to Nassau and had a blast. I don't know how much I would try getting liquor on the boat though I do not remember it being really something told not to do, we brought a case of water with no problems.

If you are bored one day check out the Wyndham Resort $15 a person and you can use all the hotels amenities and they have the nicest beach I have seen on the island and also everything is much cheaper than over around Atlantis.

You can take the #10 Jiggy to it for $1 per person and yes be ready to be begged to get your hair braided and shit while you are walking out of the building you go through customs at and all downtown.

I went to the bahamas with carnival outta Cape carnaval. They do check and x ray all your bags. Duty free will let you buy but wont let you have it till last day about to dock within like 3 hours of docking. Best bet is bar or wait till you stop. In the bahamas we did the Senor Frog thing it was cool theres a ton of liquor stores once you get off the boat. I bought a bottle of havan cuba rum and like 10 cuban cigars. I never puked so much in my life.

lol have fun in nassau i went there over thanksgiving break..lol it is so run down got asked if i wanted drugs 3 times lol. This guy was walking down the street and randomly came by and was like " you guys want to party tonight" lol. but it was kinda cool but you will see what i mean when u go. By the way the driving is crazy there 2.. only cool part was the hotel "atlantis"very very expensive hotel. dont know how it got there : / but the aquarium in side is ****ing amazing. what other places are u going?

Yeah I think cruises are the bomb. It is all-inclusive except for booze and soda. Massages, day-trips, shit like that is extra, but it is at the all-inclusive resorts, too.

I've done both, cruises and all-inclusive resorts... both are fun, and it just depends on what you're looking for.

i went on the carnival glory in may out of ppt. canaveral... they xray your stuff but dont open it... liquor in a mouthwash bottle worked fine... but when you stop on an island, the duty free liquor is soooo cheap... and you're "supposed" to check it in when you get back on the boat, but if you have it in a bag and just walk straight through when gettin back on board you can take it to your room...

i've heard stories of getting 1/2 gallon water bottles filling and walking on with it in hand. no questions asked, but they were old people don't know out you. i say try it and see what happens, lol

just get trashed when you're in port. all the bars don't care how old you are. one bar had a sign that said "you must be this tall to drink" and it was pointing to about 5' lol

I suggestion would be try the mouthwash idea, just get a big listerene or something, fill it with rum and then get a coke 'card' where you get the all you want to drink soads for like 4 bucks a day and you will be all set for a while.
