Carnival Cruise Questions

Also, not many people know this, but atleast on Carnival each person can bring 1 bottle of wine on (of course if your underage this wouldnt help much) If you want to drink the wine at dinner however, they will charge you a 10.00 opening fee.

I went on carnival about 2 years ago (so it might be different now) But what I did was this:

I got a 6 pack of the 24oz diet caffiene free pepsi, and filled them all with capitan morgan before i left for the ship. When I got asked, I said its the only soda I can drink, and was told they didnt serve it on the ship, so the guy was fine with it.

While at port, i put my liquor(had about 4 bottles) in my backpack when going back on the ship (and kept 1 liter in my hand to try to act like I was handing in my liquor)

After I went through the xray machine and handed the lady there my bottle, she handed it back, with my back pack and didnt say a word. I just brought it to my room.

Liquor down there is SOOO cheap its insane. I saw a 3 liter magnum bottle of bacardi for like $20 on one of the islands

Nassau is deffiently ghetto, but I assume there has to be nice parts since I almost got hit by a skyline driving around. I also saw some bums fighting each other and one of them trying to stab the other with a spoon, deffiently good times

I've been on two royal caribbean cruises, definitely good times, and better than carnival from what I've been told. Never really had problems with people hassling to buy their crap or anything TOO much, at least not to the point where it was aggravating.

As already stated, mouthwash bottles, bottles used for shampoo, liquid soap, etc. should not pose a problem at all. It all goes through x-ray machines, but they won't open anything up to check the contents.

tehe I work for Princess Cruises, which is owned by Carnival, and yes, the water bottles full of vodka is a great idea. I get cruises for $15/day and go alll the time. I do the Panamal Canal cruise all the time. Leave from Ft.Lauderdale, stop in Jamaica, Virgin Islands, the east coast of Mexico, go through the Panama Canal, stop in Bogota, head up the west coast of Mexico and get off in L.A. even my friends that are legal to drink BYOB because it's so **** expensive. No worries son.

over spring break i went on a cruise to cozumel out of tampa. i went with my gf and her parents. her parents brought water bottles full of vodka on board no problem.

my parents alwqays sneak booze on board, just put it in your suitcase under a couple of thing and make sure there is no metal on teh bottle.

if its not your first port of call water bottles should work well, just keep the bottles in your backpack..........my mom one time just stuffed a bottle halfway in her pants..........its really not that hard

and if you are caught drinking on the ship no one cares, its international waters, they cant do anything.......just dont bring it back with you to the states.......customs can get pretty pissed

you have to be 21 to drink on the ship they say, but if i give the bar tender a fat tip the first time i bet its fine if i need more. hopefully we can get whatever we need for the ship days on board no problem. can always get some more in Nassau.

Which sucks because royal caribbean USED to be 18 for beer and wine when I went on a cruise in 2004 (when I was only 20), but apparently they changed that rule one or two years ago. Luckily I was over 21 on my last cruise. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yeah... i only "bought" two drinks on the boat, one time they ID'd me, the other time they didnt... even in international water

a couple years back i went with my parents on royal caribbean, and when you got your boarding pass cards, if you were over 18, your parents could give them permission to serve you beer and wine

and of course on the islands, they never ask for ID, and you can pretty much walk around anywhere with a drink in your hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
