car will not start after install

do you think perhaps re-hooking up the deck might fix my problem?
I'd definately say its worth a try.

I've heard of the factory head unit having that security thing built in where if the stereo is ganked out, the car will not start. Don't know the real name of the feature, but maybe its seeing that the factory unit/wiring was screwed with and the security system is overriding everything else... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

well got the problem fixed ... it was a low battery!

wow the irratic things that it did really started to scare me!!!

i tried boosting it when i first had the problem but that did nothing at that time but just now the battery pack saved me!

wheww! thanks for all the help CA.COM i will for sure and try and help out other ppl on here!

had a cd player in my car and removed it about 1 week ago and the cars wiring harness was just hanging there as it was hard wired into my deck, so tonight i decided that i would hook up my new deck and see how it looks, hooked it up and powered it on and everything was fine, i disconnected all the wires and took it back inside my house as i was not wanting to put it in until i have all my stereo so the wiring that i used to hardwire there was just hanging there and i went to start my car and all the lights come on but it sorta goes disco inside everything flashing and the security light comes on and my car will not start up.. anyone know what i did ? or is a wire grounding out or something?
any ideas on whats causing this?
Ummm....put the radio back in it? Then you dont have to worry about loose wires hanging around....

Does it crank? If it does but does not start key on for 20 minutes. This will reprogram the pass-lock 2 system in the car. Your key is not chipped but is coded, also check fuses. Their are quite a few fuse issues that will prevent the car to start so check each fuse cover on the right and left side of the dash.

tried a boost but it didnt work at the time and so i came on here and thought i would put a post up, after realizing i did not see any spark from the booster cables when i connected them. so a friend suggested trying to use my battery pack i used that and it worked fine. thanks for all the help igot on here it was amazing! and sorry for any inconvenience's.
