i just purchased a kinetik hc1800 last night. i was going to get the 2400 but i wanted it to fit under the hood. My question was is the 1800 going to be sufficient enough for my sundown 1500d @ .5. I have 2 runs of 1/0 going to the back. stock 85 amp alt. should i get another hc1800:eek:

mmmm, questionable. I don't know if that 85a alt can charge both batteries fast enough for the current draw off .5 ohm.

battery is fine, your alt is the problem. your voltage will just vary wildly (like mine does in my civic). I have a 2000wrms amp with an hc1800 in the back, yellowtop up front and small alt. I get no dimming at all, but when the bass is hitting the voltage take a hit, then goes back up, and back and forth

well since i dont have the room im just going to put a little 600 in the back for now since i have a guy at a shop here who said hed hook me up with a nice 200 amp alt for a good price.ill be without it for about a month though
