What im doing to my 4 door sedan is disconnect the switch that releases the trunk in the front. So that they need to have a key to go in my **** trunk.

In Jetta's, you can just crawl into he back seat and lower them to get into the trunk

Need to get a backup battery for that alarm and hide it somewhere good.

Can you lock your seats?

I have a hatch & am able to lock the entire back seat with Brinks padlocks.

I also disconnected the interior hatch release so just opened by the key outside.
