Car BAttery question

im new to this part of car audio, dont know much about the car battery drain wih teh subwoofer. your alternator keeps your battery charged right?? mine alternator is 100Amp i belive, is this good or no??? 1995 lumina, how fast does a battery drain???

Well, most people are running alternators with over twice that amperage.. If that gives you any kind of hint. you can run a small system (500-750w) without having to upgrade wiring or anything. i had the same car running an audiobahn a8002t and only got minor dimming. had a hifonics bx2005d in a 1996 monte carlo z34 (105a alt) and it killed the factory alt on a hot summer day..

well im running a 12inch infinty 12.1 off a alpine MRv100M amp... i only get dimmming when i roll up windows lol..... im thinking on 2 kcikers 375rms each, off the same amp or a stronger one???

get a kinetik hc1800 or similar to replace your OEM battery and some 1/0 wire you'll be good

umm, yea im not sure the the OEm battery has been removed and changed or not, the car is like 12 years old lol, batteries dont usual last that long???/ and all i have running to my amp is a 8 gauge amp kit..... yes i know weak lol, mdont gotta point that out... but for 10$ lol
