I'm having trouble getting my system to work. I put in new amp, sub and deck today, everything works fine except for the sub. The amp turns on, but theres no power to the sub. I checked everything, tried a new set of rca's...nothing. I'm getting no voltage at the amps speaker terminals.

I've narrowed it down to a problem with the Rca outputs on the HU or the amp having a problem.

Does anyone know what voltage i should be getting at the decks rca outputs and the amps speaker terminals?

check the settings on the headunit and make sure the subs are not turned off from there. Most headunits have a setting that turns off sub out.

its the pioneer premeir deh p600ub. the setting on the Subwoofer 1 reads ON.

FWIW the amp is a hifonics bxi 608

I just checked the rca's and the amp outputs on the deck, both good......

you're getting voltage from the speaker outputs on the amp? how is the sub wired?

if the amp comes on but your not getting any voltage to the speaker outputs.. yeah i would take it back

I double checked the voltage coming out of the rca's and im only reading .025 volts @ the 2V setting, the next setting 200v reads nothing.

correct me if I am wrong but.. it varies with your volume. what is the pre out voltage for your HU?
