Car audio school, is it worth it?

I don't know if I really want to take this completely serious, I really like car audio and electronics, and I need a decent job while I'm in college. Would this be a good route to go for that?

my old boss used to design subs and boxes for hcca. but i dont see how cause every "custom bulit" box he made he said it was tuned different for each sub for max spl (high schools are silly) but from what i measured and found they were all built at 50 hz i dunno //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

so it's easier to pass the test if you go to the school rather than study the book? the test is mainly on concepts from the book rather than experience correct?

if you ahvent already, go pick up the CAR STEREO COOKBOOK. it is a great book that covers the basics and touches a little on every subject. it is a great book to read and use as a building block for your own ideas.

I am strongly considering this as well....I don't think I am going to school this semester due to transferring and delayed transcripts in transit.

But I am going to be working, selling cell phones at least part time. I've been doing that for like 3 years, and I think I would enjoy installing systems as I finish college rather than selling phones, for a change of flavor.

Would also one day love to start a business if given the opportunity....anyone have anymore info on the MECP certifications or these schools in general?? http://www.mecp.com doesn't have much info that I can see.
