Car Audio + Rims = Bad Idea?

Wow, people REALLY don't know what they're talking about. It HIGHLY depends on the vehicle. Let me post this once more...please, tell me, does this look ****?

And I have plenty room to spare, that's with a 2.5" drop. Could fit 22's with rubber bands if I really wanted, but that IMO wouldn't look all that great. I've seen PLENTY of G35's, 350z's, some Corvettes.... all with 20's, and they look very nice.

good sh it! those wheels look good!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

i dont like it. wheels consume the car. and theres NO tire. indy cars and drag cars dont use 20's so why should i?

cc1.jpg

that looks good.
yeah, cause we all drive indy cars and drag cars every day?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

yeah i cant have big wheels in the front because my 1,500hp motor weighs 700lbs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif .. retard

its all an opinion, and that car you posted^^^ lol.. welcome to the 21st century. nothing wrong with older cars, but there is a newer style

There's no tire because it's tucked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif theres about 2 - 3" of tire around it, it's just difficult to see, here's a better picture.

These are the tires the original owner had, now THIS is no tire.

As for that pic, car looks UGLY with that front lip. In response to what you said, drag cars and indy cars are TRACK cars. I HIGHLY doubt the owner is putting a system in a track car, or anybody here for that matter, just makes no sense at all. It's a daily driver, thus no need stick with 17's or under. Plus that car in the pic needs about a 1" drop to be sitting right....IIRC, drag and indy cars are sitting on lower suspension as well.
thats a V8 beretta FWD, there is no room to lower it. the front lip is ugly, but it has a function, the ZO4 front ends pull air into the radiator poorly. im used to the "i want to make my car fast people". i just dont like the look so any wheel that forces my eye to look at it and not the car.

These are 20's and don't look like **** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif and the Car Audio works fine.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Is that front lip held on by rivets or screws?

Ouch.

yes, that does in fact look like ****. try again.

I had 22s on my grand marquis and 4 12s in the trunk and the back sat lower than it should have. I ended up having to add 3 more inches of lift to the back....400$. Then I had to sodder my trunk 4 times.....:-/ rims + car audio= broke

yeah i cant have big wheels in the front because my 1,500hp motor weighs 900lbs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif .. retard

welcome to i dont give a ****. that car is from 92-93. not that old buddy. the racing part is the fact if you want a car that doesn't handle like a land yaht you dont buy big wheels.

no, i havent noticed anything different. you mean as far as tire wear? they seem to be holding up pretty well. all of my system's weight is in the middle of the vehicle (extended cab S10) so it doesnt squat any particular part of the vehicle. the wall was about 2 1/2 sheets of MDF if i remember right, plus 80-90 lbs in subs, 50lbs in amps, 80lbs in batts... idk how much that equals because im not sure what 1 sheet of mdf is??? 60lbs?
Wish it was that system. But here is what Im going to have in the back...

2 10" Fi BL

Sundown 3KD

The box of course

2 HC24000

So Im guessing 450 maybe?

Many people would disagree with you, though many would agree. Some prefer the look of this instead, which I'm actually admiring a bit more myself.

It's all personal preference. I got the rims because I got a fairly good deal on them. If I were out shopping for wheels I would have had another choice for sure...several other choices actually.

lol at all the raging epenis action in this thread.
Get over yourselves and stop dumping in this guys thread.

To the OP, you'll be fine.

Question has been answered, in detail, several times now, prior to your 'you'll be fine' mumbo jumbo.

Way to go and 'dump in this guys thread.'
