Car Audio Facts.

Install is more important than equipment.

A pleasing sound does not equate to SQ.

BOSE is a four letter word.

If you can't measure a difference between two componenets, you can't hear one either.

Running your power wire with your signal wire will not cause noise.

Your power delivery is only as good as your ground path.

Alternator whine is a ground problem (usually the HU).

You can fuse your power wire according to the needs of the amp or the size of the wire.

Speakers do not need an amp capable of delivering the RMS rating of the speaker to sound good. That goes for subs, too.

JL is not overpriced.

SQL is a database architecture not an audio term.

Ported is not always louder or less accurate than sealed.

There is no "best" anything.

Anyone who makes a post asking "Whats' the best..." is a noob.

Running RCA's by power wire can cause noise. I can move my rcas closer to my power wire, and hear the noise come on the speakers. But then again, my car has had the wackiest noise problem I've ever seen.

Have to disagree with u on that.

Heres 2 more to add.

1. The thin wire attached to some prefab RCAs is NOT for remote turn on.

2. Avoid multiple ground paths when grounding audio equipment to prevent a ground loop.

6, Garbage in garbage out

7, You can never blow a sub with to little power.(but clipping t signal may damage it)

8 You can never have to big of wire.9

9, Adding subs or adding power will NOT guarantee a rise in SPL

10, SQ is better than spl always.

if you guys can copy paste it would save me doing it

If you are getting noise by having your AC signal near a DC wire then you have other problems somewhere else in the car. DC cannot induce noise in AC. Also every bit of current and more that flows through your power wire also flows through the chassis of the car if you use a chassis ground. If you are not getting noise witht he signal wires near the chassis, then you've proven my point.

Actually, sometimes it is.
