capacitors help

Okay sorry I'm new to this thread and fairly new to the car audio scene as well.

Anyway I'm getting my new system soon and I'm wondering if I'm going to need capacitors.

System:

2x JL Audio 13w7's

2x JL Audio 1000/1 Amp's

these will be going in a 96 VW Jetta

If I should get cap's what would you suggest?

also mods, if this is in the wrong thread than I'm sorry I am new here so please correct me.

Are you adding two 13w7's and two 1000/1' and leaving the rest stock? If so, you should reconsider what you are doing. It would be better to take the money you are spending on the second sub and amp and put it toward some nice seperates up front mabey a coaxial set for the rear if you have passengers back there often. with a two or four channel amp. As far as your electical system, do the big three upgrade first and go from there.

i know of zapco c2k 9.0's along side a 6.0 in a few cars that have stock electrical systems that are fine, with little dimming may i add. it is amazing what you can do when things are done correctly.

To answer your question on a more straight forward lvl, no, you do not NEED a capacitor. Chances are, it would not help as much as you think it would, and the upgrade of the big 3, a new battery and/or new, bigger alternator would be a lot better for you. Now, when you get an electrical system that is above par for your current electrical demands, then an external capacitor may be something to look into, simply because it would not be such a strain on your system. get me or do I need to go into the archives and pull up some threads as to why this is so?
Quoted from two other threads, I suggest searching a little if you need more help. This is no shit when I say the topic of capacitors is covered at least twice weekly.
