Knu's wire is almost always bigger than it is rated to be. Trimming it won't be a problem.

I just trim some off then crimped it and put electric tape around it.

I doubt you're still having a problem.. but if you are, you should just push the two together while spinning the piece you're trying to get it to go into. Push hard and keep spinning.

You can twist the fuse holder on to the wire while pushing the wire into the holder, it makes it easier sometimes.

Also, be careful when u strip the wire and keep squeezing real tight, I had som problems at first with some of the same wire, but if you're really careful you can get it in to the ring terminal first try. Just make sure you hold it all together right after you strip it. Then as every1 else said, it's okay to trim off the couple strands that don't get into the terminal...
