Can this set up work?

I have my H.U. and Speakers set up, so ignore those factors. I am wanting to purchase 2 SWR-12D4 (4ohm x 4ohm), and wanted to by a Soundstream Ta1.2000. I was wanting to run this amp at 2 ohms (for a total of 1300 watts, 650 per sub) but am not sure if this is duable with these subs? thanks in advanced

2 d4 subs would give you a 1 or 4 ohm load so no. To get a 2ohm load you need (2) D2 subs

Thanks for the quick reply, as much as i was set on that amp, so what if i went with the SWR-12D2? would that set my final at either 2 or 8? Im still learning

Depends on how you wire. Do series/parallel for 2 ohms.

Ill have to look later, my school wifi blocked that site apparently //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif, and while im here, think running this amp at 1300 watts and another alpine at 85 rms x 4 is too much power for a modern battery? Ive been told no beacuase i have a newer ('03) outback but am not so sure

The only way to find out is by trying it out. Get yourself a digital multi-meter and see what your voltage drop is. Make sure your gain is set properly and you should be straight. You might need to do big 3 but i think you should be fine. But like i said the only way to find out is by doing so. Dont cheap out on power wire, thats what will make or break it. Bite the bullet and buy ofc wire. Knulonceptz sells a goof kit for like $65

Ill have to check it out, right now im running a single oineer off of a 900 watt amp, and the speakers of the HU so i dont think thats nearly enough power to compare the 2 set ups
