can someone show me an example of a double tuned box

So is there not anyway I could not just plug the rectangle port?
well you could cut smaller 1/4 thin peices of wood that lay flat along the bottom of your port and just stack them to tune it diffrently.

No...first of all what would you plug it with. It would have to be somethingthat plugged the port all the way down, throughout the whole lenght of the port. Aeros on the other hand, you could have dual 4 inch aeroports, and plug one for daily, and unplug it for comps.
I see what you mean now. I guess I will just tune it to one thing then. What would be a good frequency.

Tune it 32...Unless you are serious about competing. You dont need a box tuned way high...and if you were serious about competing, you would build 2 separate boxes.
why so low? I'm not going to be doing any serious competing just local comps and competing with my friends.

Because the higher you tune the "peakier" the box becomes...or to put it bluntly a "one note wonder" 32 is a good place to tune most daily applications.
This will be the first ported box I have had. If I tuned it to 32 what would its loudest frequencies be? And where would it peak at...32?

Back to the double tuning... assuming you had room outside of the box, why couldn't you just make an additional rectangle (same dimensions as port) that bolted onto the front of the box, extending the port length? That would be alot easier than modifying anything inside the box... would it work, though?
