A member on here, "Relax" is designing me a box for my L5s. I am wanting the box tuned to 35 hz for daily and 50 hz for comp. However he has never seen a double tuned box so he wanted me to show him an example....then he would design me one.

Anyone help me out here?

I have pictures of a "double tuned enclosure" but not what you really want. Removable ports can be a ***** to get right and can be just as difficult to cut and bolt into place.

it's gonna be a SHORT port, with a longer one that slides in
A good designer would make both port lengths close to the same but use port area as the varying factor.

This is pretty much like the box he is designing me. Not exactly some changes will be made. Its going to be a little longer and its going to be 1 box instead of 2.

That box is tuned to 35 hz. but like i said i want it to be tuned at 50 hz as well.

If I just had him tune it to one frequency could someone on here tell me how much I need to plug to change it to the other frequency I want?

If you "plug" anything on that port, you will DECREASE tuning, not increase it.

You would have a box with a rectangular hole it it. And two "stand alone ports" That would bolt into the box. Like said above both ports would be about the same length, but the lower tuned port would have less port area. Just search removeable ports, and you should see some threads.

might be a cool idea.

get a powerfull 2 channel amp for your subs left channel is a cetian freq

and right is another.

another way is to make a box with 4 areo ports tuned high

then plug them if you want to tune lower.

somthing like this 3cu. 4, 4" ports at 13" long flared

outside of the box tuned to.

4 open ports 55hz

1 sealed port 47hz

2 sealed ports39hz

3 sealed ports 28hz
