can someone help with subs

i know this is not the place to be posting help about what subs i should get but i dnt know were to post so please help. i wanna get the fibtl n2 for competing i can only afford one right now so im stuck i dont know if i should get a 12, 15, or an 18. what would be better for hitting higher numbers? i eventually wanna get another sub but for now im stuck with only getting one so what will i be better off with?

my car is a grand am gt 2004.

im going to be putting 2krms to it.

and another quick question i wanna use an aero port coming out the box but i wanna make it square does anyone know how i would go about caculating that? well i hope u can help thanks

sub size doesn't equal high numbers... some people hit 150's with an 8" off of 600 watts... if you are planning on getting another sub I would go with a twelve for now. and Square aero port=???????? just go with a slot port. and I am hoping that you have upgraded your electrical for 2k....

if in a trunk then prolly 12's or 15's,dont see you getting 2 18'8 in there.as far as the port just measure it out as you would any slot port box and make it external.in other words you need 3 cub.ft per sub with 15 's each.figure out what your measurements will be ,find out what freq. you want,then add that to the box,you may have todo some tweaking after its done tho

If you think you'll buy a second one go with 12" since a pair of 15's is a bit much for most trunks....that being said you should be able to do quite a bit with a single 15" and BTL can handle 2K if you're reasonably careful.

Considering I've had 2 of the same car, I can actually be of a little use. If you're looking to build a box outside of the trunk and slide it in, max dimensions will be 16.5" tall, 38.75" wide, and 19.75" long. Once you start factoring in displacements, that's not much space. Use that info carefully when deciding, unless you were going to build in the trunk.

well i wanna compete at an event called heat wave at south padre island in texas and they go by usaci rules spl and sq n i wanna compete spl

and yes ima do the big three up my alt. maby to 250 amps get two xs batts. or shuriken not sure yet. and a new bat under the hood so do you guys think i can hit some good numbers with one 12?
