Can someone help me with this problem??

Yesterday, i was listening to my system when my amp went into protect mode for the first time ever. Now my amp will go into protect mode when there is a bass note to be played but when there's no bass it stays "on" like usual. Also, if my volume is really low my bass will play but its not at all what it should be? Can someone help me out.

My system is 2 Rockford Fosgate P3 15" on an Audiopipe 1500W mono wired @ 1 ohm.

It sounds like the amp is fine until it has to "work hard". I would check for a loose or corroded connection either at the battery, the ground, or any intermediate connection point such as a fuse/distribution block.

If you have a meter, check the voltage at the amp while it's under load.

check grounds first then check voltage at the amp and at the battery,sounds like low voltage some where

As they said, check all your wiring and connections and pray your amp isn't dying.

Thanks for the replies guys, looked today and it was a loose ground wire for my amp.
