On the HPF of the LPF of my HU it has these choices. I know what the LPF and HPF are but how do I choose one of the settings bellow. Thanks.

does the frequency you choose affect the ability of blowing a speaker, or is all that fixed by setting the gains properly

I am running one 12' Typer R at 2ohms and 2 front, 2 back speakers on a 4 channel amp. I cannot really hear the difference in sound when I switch from one to the other. I mainly listen to latin Music. Which has a lot of trumpets, Sax etc...

Set it at 78hz, that's a good spot to start at for most setups.

I have the HPF at 125 and the LPF 125 also

thats a little high, i dont think i would want my sub playin up to 125, but then again its in a ported box where i wouldnt hear those frequencies good anyways

Yeah, if I got a Type-R 12" subwoofer with an Hifonics BXi 1606D mono amplifier, where should I set the gains and frequencies at if the box is 2.5cu.ft. at 32hz?

Sorry for changing the topic question, but I'd figured since were talking about this, might as well not make another thread about it.
