Can my car handle this?

Christ there are some terrible suggestions in this thread...

Your alternator should do fine for anything under 1000 watts RMS. You will be just fine without Big 3, additional batteries, and Don't pay attention to maximum ratings. For $210, you could find a better package, though. It's a low spending limit for subs+amp, so I would get one entry-level subwoofer rather than two pieces of junk.

I would still suggest the Big 3. Before I did the big 3 in my Saturn (96amp stock alt), my lights would dim like crazy with about 700 watts RMS.

I had my old system in a 1996 Hyundai Accent. Massive CW12's and an MA 802sx, when the bass hit the car **** near shut off:( That little *** alt in those things are not going to cut it, you will need to do the big 3 as suggested, batteries and new alt to be on the safe side. But to each his own, if you like dimming head and accesory lights keep it stock:laugh:
I will do the Big 3. And A good big battery. But i don't really want to swap out the alternator. I would be happy with any amp.

I'm going to try and sound smart so if i screw up don't yell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

Could i use a 500watt RMS 1 channel Class D amp? For 2 12" subs of some sort? or would it be to low of power to the subs? (at 250watts each?) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

If somebody could recommend me a setup (1 amp, and 2 12" subs) that my car could run stock. (or with atleast Big 3 mod) i would really appreciate it. And i'm kinda on a $250 - $300 shipped budget. I would really appreciate it.

thanks!

That amp also pushes a LOT more power and is current hungry. Your comparing apples to oranges here.

thanks jdawg for the links. i like the speakers. The amps were a little over powering. (i don't know if it matters)

I did my homework and found this though.

The Kicker 07C128 is 150watt RMS with a 8ohm impedance. And the Kenwood KAC-8104D is 300watts RMS with a 4ohm impedance.

So if i wire 2 Kicker 07C128 in parallel Making it a 300watt with 4ohm impedance. It should work perfectly... Rite?

I can get all of this for within my price range. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks!
